MOD Dwarf: Synthesizers And Effects Inside The Guitar Pedal!

We turn to the news of the indie-market, here we will probably start with a device called Dwarf from MOD.

At first glance, this contraption resembles an ordinary guitar stomp box, however, upon closer examination, MOD Dwarf turns out to be a much more interesting device. The fact is that the device’s engine, based on open-source technology, essentially allows you to load any type of patch into the pedal’s memory - from guitar pedals and virtual cabinets to full synthesizers that can be controlled via MIDI or USB.

Synthesizers and effects are combined in chains, and the number of plugins available for download is constantly growing, thanks to the open source code. At the moment, the library, for example, already includes about 300 plugins, including 115 guitar cabinets, 180 effects, 30 virtual instruments and 30 MIDI effects! Patches for Mod Dwarf, by the way, can be assembled using a special application for PC or Mac, or you can directly from the pedal.

As for the cost of the machine, it currently stands at only $ 270, but you can get acquainted with the project and place an order on the official kickstarter page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/modduo/mod-dwarf/description
